Let me just start by saying I appreciate that the author was kind enough to point out what could have been a flaw in her story, or at least a point for people to complain about. Right up front, she tells you that the way things happen in the book is not normal, but were sped up for the sake of the story. I like that s***. So I have literally no reason to complain about how unrealistic certain things are, since she warned me and I chose to continue. Thanks for keeping it real, Ella. The characters were pretty great. Olive and Jason and Olives BFF Lucy... they were all just great. I love the solid friendship that Olive and Lucy had, and I love Lucy's need for comfy boobs to rest on. Jason was on the verge of perfect, without being that completely overbearing jealous guy that I find so often in these types of books. While a bit of mutual jealousy is fine, it is just so often over the top in books lately! There is a limit where it stops being attractive, and he did not exceed that.
This book, like many others, is not perfect. But I laughed, I cried a smidgen, and I definitely inhaled this in one sitting. It was so easy to get into and I just couldn't stop. To love Jason Thorn will give all kinds of lovely feels. It put a huge smile on my face.
My reason for going with 4.5 stars instead of 5 is just because:
1) Sometimes I get tired of a nickname for someone being repeated so. many. times.
and....
2) At some point, dirty talk during sex starts to feel like a cheese fest for me. Not that this book wasn't steamy and sexy, I just get easily cheesed out by these things sometimes. Plenty of people will enjoy every word of it. It is just a personal thing for me!!
I DEFINITELY plan to read the next book, and the short books from within this book (I love that the author did that, by the way!).

I loved it! I was so glad that I found this one!
When I finished To Hate Adam Connor there was a preview in the back, of
To Love Jason Thorn and it got me hooked from that little preview!
In the beginning it was really funny and cute and then it was a bit sad.
Especially because they where little and Olive said the most adorable and
funny things to Jason. I was giggling the entire time!
And after a few years they see each other again at a meeting for
turning Olive her best seller book into a movie with as leading star Jason Thorn.
Not sure why but I really really love forehead kisses! They are just so cute!
It was so amazing! It was a light read with lots of funny and steamy parts!
And still a bit of drama but not to much, which is fun from time to time.
When Olive get's drunk and she is a lightweight so she's drunk fast, then she is so
honest and funny!
I would Recommend this one!
Wow. I read a sample of this a long time ago, but didnt buy. What a bummer ive been missing out on this amazing author.
This book had everything i like. The heroine is smart, but sweet and vulnerable as well. She is strong, but not in that annoyingly over the top alpha female way that so many writers go for. She was assertive in her sexuality, but not a fiend. I could relate to her.
ALSO- no crazy, trumped up conflict that appears at exactly 85-90 % that is unbelievable. There is a small hurdle, but it is also part of the overall love story.
Hero was wonderfully taken in by the heroine. Truely, this author understands something about men. He is protective, a little possessive, and enthralled. What could be hotter when the man of your dreams feels these things for you?
Seriously, one click this one!
To Love Jason Thorn blew me away. Ella Maise is a talented author that captured my interest and did not let go. Not only does she tell a memorable story, but her sense of humor, whit and development of characters made me fall in love! I absolutely loved the concept and development of this story. It was fresh told from a unique perspective.
At the age of 8, Olive fell in love with her brother's best friend. For years, Jason Thorn was the boy she doted on. He was her first crush, the one who made her blush and feel like a swarm of butterflies captured her stomach every time he entered a room. That is until his broke her heart, then moved away.
Now years later Olive is a nationally known writer. Her debut book was such a hit, Hollywood has come knocking at her door. The last thing she expects is to have Jason Thorn, Hollywood's heartthrob being cast as the lead role for her story. She does her best to avoid him, but it becomes inevitable that she will have to face the former man of her dreams.
This book has many twists and turns. Just when I thought I could predict what would happen next, Ella Maise threw in another curve ball, keeping me burning through the pages. There were times I laughed out loud as well as was nearly brought to tears as I felt the emotions of the characters. I loved this story so much, I immediately one-clicked the next book in the series.
PS - if you are an audio fan - Sebastian York and Lidia Dornet nailed it
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I read this along with the audio, and OMG! It was so good y’all!
I’m quite embarrassed to say I started this book months ago and set it aside because I couldn’t at the time get into. Now I’m kicking my own butt because WTH MAN! I COULD’VE LOVED JASON MONTHS AGO!!
Now that I have him, no one else can. He’s mine. I’m keeping him.
This was my ultimate love story. Kinda second chance, definitely friends to lovers and my brothers best friend all rolled into one.
Jason, the Hollywood player and Olive, the girl next door who’s loved him her whole life, meet up after years apart. She wrote a love story and he’s the star of it’s big screen adaptation.
Some things bring them together for the cameras, but what neither of them know is it’s not fake at all.
SOOOOOOO STINKING GOOD!!
And SebYo narrates so, yeah, there’s that ;)
